Samples of my graphic novel project: an update of George Orwell’s Animal Farm
If you saw my last post, I plugged a small project that I have been working on. I thought I would unveil some samples as I work to turn it into an e-book or publish it online in a sort of slider-style website. So here are a few sample pages from the book, a graphic novel update of George Orwell’s Animal Farm. I have two working titles: ‘The Animaux Fable of the Raise And Fall of the Sheeple Party’ or ‘The Cautionary Tale Of A Machiavellian Fox Among The Bird Brains And Jackass Dimwits’. If this graphic novel can catch someone’s eye in American, perhaps it will help me emigrate!
‘The Animaux Fable of the Raise And Fall of the Sheeple Party’
or
'The Cautionary Tale Of A Machiavellian Fox Among The Bird Brains And Jackass Dimwits’
Mr. Lee Bird is eager to burnish his credentials but not having any original ideas of his own so he also joins the plot.
.....Meanwhile, Mr. Murdoch Lion of Fox & Hare News offered to broadcast the propaganda to sell the new Sheeple Party ‘You just have to love those ‘Contracts On Animauxland!’
The chattering classes of Fox & Hare News bury themselves in twittered theories why the plot failed which become their chrysalis.
Mr. Kingfisher Rubio, desperately looking for a cause, joins Mr. Cruz Auk’s mission.
The urban rat ponders his empty bowl and sliver of moldy cheese. ‘The crumbs of trickle down prosperity don’t feel my belly!’
The unfortunate Urban Rats queue up for food stamps which Animal Farm Inc has just canceled. ‘Corporate Welfare and Entitlements are strictly for us Agriculture Cartel Pigs!'
‘But you have just cancelled both food stamps and employment insurance for those laid off by the Great Recession!’ Ex-President Donkey brays. ‘Damnation! We have to do something!’
Mr. Newt Cockatoo continues to bluster for plot - ‘Chaos is so glorious isn’t it?’
Mr. McCain Elephant. ‘An elephant should be considered above such things’ but he still decides to join the conspiracy anyway.
‘I am sooooo hungry!’ Mr. Koch Crocodile tells his brother Mr. Koch Vulture. ‘When do we dine?’
