Reporters say police fired rubber bullets. Then they said the rioters fired first. I don’t know who to believe.
I tried to visit Moon Park today but police have blocked off Old and New Moon Street and have ringed Moon Traffic Circle in a riot police shield wall. I saw one side of Old Gildagad House. I guess it does look kinda black. One window was broken. But that is not much of a riot to justify calling out riot police with water cannon and tear gas. Reporters say police fired rubber bullets. Then reporters said the police did not fire rubber bullets. Then they said the rioters fired first. I don’t know who to believe. Each side has interviews with bloody victims of genuine violence. The day I was there it all just seemed like a bit of fun.
